Anna Mae (Cranmer) Cheever


Was born the 27th of August 1937 to Charles Edward and Della Mae (Holmes) Cranmer in Muleshoe, Texas, Bailey County. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harley Ray Cheever; sons, Dwight Lynn and Russell Franklin Cheever; great-grandson, Justin Alan Davis; brothers, Melvin, Roy, Verl, Paul, David, Vernon; and sisters, Eunice and Zola Scargrough. Anna is survived by Twilla LeAnn (Cheever) Amuimuia and husband, Saivatia Amuimuia; grandsons, Neil David and Ryan Cole McConnell, Derrick Bryan Cheever, Marshall Wyatt Cheever, Allen Amuimuia, and Aerol Amuimuia; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Katherine Palmer; and lifelong friend of 76 years, Freda Weirick. Anna’s hobbies included quilting, genealogy, square dancing, hunting, and fishing. She retired from the USDA as a Food Inspector and had been employed by Motor Equipment, Coleman, Beech Aircraft, Dold Foods, and cared for many elderly and disabled children in her home. Funeral service is 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021, with visitation one hour prior, both at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037.
