Ann Elizabeth Meritt

Ann Meritt, age 73, proud former Science Teacher that helped bring Science Olympiad to Wichita and helped lobby for the building of Exploration Place. She taught at Jardine & Robinson Middle schools and East high School.

Ann passed away, Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, January 12, at Smith Mortuary in Derby, KS.

Preceded in death by her father and mother James and Vivian Yoho; Daughter, Mathresa Weaver. Survived by her husband, Raymond Meritt; Son, James Meritt (Melissa); Brothers, Rex (Susan) Yoho of Savannah, MO, Robert Yoho of San Tan Valley, AZ, Jerry (Jolene) Yoho of Maple Grove, MN; grandchildren, Arick, Weaver, Allison Weaver, Colton Meritt, Madison Meritt and Emily Meritt; Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sjogren’s Foundation.
