Anita B. Stevens

Anita Stevens, of Wichita, fell asleep in the Lord early Saturday morning, December 10, 2011, at the age of 91. Visitation will be 11 AM – 5 PM Tuesday, Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral Service 7 PM Tuesday, St. Mary Orthodox Church, 344 S. Martinson. Anita was born August 11, 1920 in Worcester, MA, the family moved to Wichita when she was 9 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Ray; her children, Randy, Connie, Court and Annette, and her daughter-in-law, Terry; her brother, Eli Ferris; sister, Evelyn Ferris; and her brother-in-law, Fred Stevens. She and her husband would have celebrated their 65th year of marriage on January 7, 2012. Anita was a faithful member of St. Mary Orthodox Church and was active in the Ladies Auxilary and later founded The Belles of St. Mary. She loved her church and worked tirelessly for the church until she was no longer able. She loved God, her family, her church and people.
