Haysville – Sue Moody, 61, passed away, Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.


She was born August 31, 1961 to Phillip Nolan and Nellie Sells in Wichita, KS.

Sue graduated from Campus High School in 1979 and married the love of her life, John, on April 5th, 1980. Their union was a testament to enduring devotion and unwavering support.


Sue had a true Renaissance spirit whose multifaceted talents and passions defied categorization - Resisting labels and choosing instead to explore an array of interests to become a master of versatility and was at her happiest traveling and being outdoors.


Her love knew no bounds, and she embraced the joys and challenges of motherhood with grace and unwavering dedication. Her children were her pride and joy, and her nurturing spirit created a home filled with warmth and love. The arrival of grandchildren brought an entirely new level of happiness to her life. The love and connection she shared with her grandchildren were truly unparalleled. She lived a great life and was loved by all.


She was preceded in death by her mother (Nellie), father (Nolan), and brother (Donald).


Sue is survived by her husband John, son Matthew (Jenah) Moody, daughter Kristen (Daniel) Bevilacqua, brother Wilbur (Karen) Sells, sister-in-law Sharon Sells, and family Terry Moore, Debbie Adams, Chris Sells, Kirke Sells, and Phillip Sells, grandchildren: Aiden, Tyler, Dominic, Rocco, and Gianna.
