Ted Davis 86, of Goddard, Kansas went to his Heavenly home and met his Lord and Savior on Thursday September 25, 2025.
He was born on December 14, 1938, in Lead Hill, Arkansas to Ancil and Johnie Davis. Ted married his high school sweetheart, and love of his life Diane Richmond in Belle Plaine, Kansas on June 6, 1959, they celebrated 65 years of marriage at the time of Diane’s passing on August 27,2024. They had a special kind of love.
He is also preceded in death by his father, Ancil and mother, Johnie; sister, Betty Jo Crepps, brother, John Wilbur (Bud) Davis.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Clayton McCullough, by his son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Sandra Davis; four grandchildren, Missy (McCullough) and Craig Dossey, Lindsay (McCullough) and Kelby Kingsley, Riley and Deavyn (Carey) Davis and Cameron and Taylor (McQueary) Davis; seven great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Dossey, Cydnee Dossey, Caleb Dossey, Landon Dossey, Kenzie Kingsley, Konner Kingsley, and Bo Davis.
During his 40 years with Boeing, Ted and Diane along with their children, (Tami and Brett) lived in many places; Wichita, Seattle, Chicago, London, Hartford then coming full circle back to Wichita in 1986.
Ted had enjoyed many hobbies which included flying, woodworking and music. He was also active serving in the Ambassador Ministry at Northside Church of Christ. His greatest blessing was his family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved attending all their different activities; sports, dance, and musicals.
Visitation: Thursday October 2, 2025, (Family 4:30-5:00) from 5:00 -7:00 p.m., at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, 115 S Seneca St., Wichita, Kansas 67213. Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m., Friday October 3,2025, at Northside Church of Christ, 4545 N Meridian Ave., Wichita, Kansas 67204.
