Alvin N. Helton, 95, retired painter, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Alvin is survived by his wife of 70 years, Wilma; children, Joline Kovarik (Robert) of Topeka, Toni Ashley of Wichita, Karon Roy of Derby, Skip Helton of Somonauk, IL, Kevin Helton (Sue) of Rose Hill, Jan Johnson (Jeff) of Derby; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation:1-8pm today at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd., Derby with family greeting friends from 5-6pm. Service: 10am, Friday, December 23, 2011, North Woodlawn Baptist Church, 1409 N. Woodlawn, Derby
