Alta Mae Felix

Felix, Alta Mae, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Visitation 1-8 today, funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, both at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. Interment to follow at 3:30 p.m., New Home Cemetery, Nash, Okla. Alta worked as an officer/dispatcher with the Haysville Police Department from 1973 to 1988, when she retired. She was a member of Praise Assembly in Derby. Preceded in death by her husband, Bill Felix, and brother Max Ewers. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Darrell) Staats, Haysville; Mike (Rebecca) Felix, Derby; and Billy E. (Marie) Felix, Haysville; 7 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas, 2622 W. Central, Ste. 501, Wichita, KS 67203.
