Alma Butterfield

Alma Butterfield, 85, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015. She was a homemaker and a devoted and loving mother. Visitation 1-8pm Monday, family present 5-7pm at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road. Derby. Graveside service 11am Tuesday, Sept. 1st at El Paso Cemetery, 700 E. Kay St. Derby. Alma is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Winifred Smith and husband Darrell. She is survived by her sons, Gary Butterfield and partner Shahram Ghadimi-Navai of Atlanta, GA and Mark Butterfield and partner Cynda Wright of Hutchinson; grandsons, Justin (Stacy) Butterfield of Kansas City, and Lt. Brett (Andrea) Butterfield of Jacksonville, FL and their mother Debbi Butterfield of Stillwater, Okla; sister, Toni Steinbuchel of Chandler, AZ; great-grandson, James Lee Butterfield. The family would like to recognize with appreciation the staff at Avita Assisted Living, the Derby Dash staff, American Red Cross senior transportation staff, and the Kansas Masonic Home staff.
