Alice I. Westerhoff

Westerhoff, Alice I. 95, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. She was born October 1, 1919 to Stephen and Letha (Riggle) Glasscock in Nemaha, NE.

Alice loved babysitting children, including her grandchildren and taking vacations in the mountains.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deanna Hansen; 5 sisters; and 4 brothers. Alice is survived by her children, Randy (Linda) Westerhoff and Debbie (Bob) Opheim; grandchildren, Jodee, Kimberly, Chad, Kathy, Sara, and Kandi; great-grandchildren, Aleishia, Jaidyn, Tyler, Kylar, Madisyn, Hunter, Zoey, Jackson, and Conner; step great-grandchildren, Josh and Jessica; brother, Steve (Peggy) Glasscock; sister-in-law, Inez Glasscock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Monday, 5 to 8 pm with family present between 6 and 8 pm. Funeral: 1 pm, Tuesday; both at Smith Family Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, KS 67060. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 6950 Squibb Road, S-310, Mission, KS, 66202 to benefit Alice’s great-granddaughter.
