Alice Waits

Wichita - Waits, Alice Susan, 97, died Saturday, July 3, 2021. She retired as dietician from Wesley Hospital. She loved making quilts for her grandchildren and RSVP, where she volunteered for many years.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Francis Bookout and Joseph Waits; her son, Francis Lee Bookout Jr; daughters, Charlene Frazier, Ann Lillibridge-Kilts, Patricia McGee, and Kimberly Drouhard; step daughter, Lois Daughtry; and four brothers, Floyd, Paul, Mark and Cody Skelton; two sisters, Margaret Mitchell and Jean Springwater.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Rita Landwehr, Joan McElhinny, Jena Moffitt, Marsha Burris, step daughters, Sheila Ewing, Jackie Putman, Karen Tate, and Pamela Englebrecht; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; and two siblings, Adaline McDonald and Marion "Bud" Skelton.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Sedgwick Senior Center, 107 W 5th St, Sedgwick, KS 67135.
