Alice A. Jennings

Jennings, Alice A., 80, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was born June 12, 1933 to Ora and Rennie Dell (Bearden) McGrath in Walnut Shade, MO. Alice was a talented singer, ballroom dancer, artist, musician, and accomplished cook, well known for her fresh pies. As a young girl, Alice worked for Rose O’Neil where she developed a love for KEWPIES, a passion she never lost. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilton Jennings, Sr.; and siblings, Edward McGrath, Delbert McGrath, Lucille Estep, Gladys Patrick, Bob McGrath, and Earl McGrath. Alice is survived by her children, Wilton (Laurette) Jennings, Jr. and Cindy (Larry) Hagedorn; grandchildren, Allison (Jason) Jennings-Wesson, Chrissy (Jeremy) Jennings-Chatham, Kelsey Jennings, Justin Hagedorn, Wesley Jennings, and Meghan Hagedorn; great-grandchildren, Hannah Wesson and Maddie Wesson; and multiple nieces and nephews. Visitation: Thursday, 2 to 8 pm at Smith Family Mortuary in Derby. Graveside Service: 10 am, Friday, May 2, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery.
