Alice Fay Hunt

June 7, 1937 — July 14, 2022

Alice Fay (McClary) Hunt was born June 7, 1937 to Rev. Raymond and Vinita McClary in Chicago, Illinois. As the daughter of a preacher, she attended many schools across the US and graduated from Dixon HS in Dixon, MO. She married James Hunt on July 3, 1955 at the Methodist Church in Belle Plaine, KS. James and Alice were parents to seven children all raised on the farm west of Belle Plaine.

Alice went to beauty school and became an instructor to many cosmetology students. She also owned and operated multiple hair salons in Belle Plaine throughout her career. Later in life, Alice was the secretary at the First Baptist Church of Belle Plaine. Alice enjoyed painting, quilting, and singing in both the church and community choirs in her spare time. Her greatest joy was found in gatherings of her large family and friends where food, stories, laughs and love were shared and enjoyed by all.

Alice left this Earth for her Heavenly home on July 14, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Billy and Bruce McClary, Her husband James, Son in Law Dave Good and Grandson Timothy Joel Hunt.
