Alex Blane Stone
September 3, 1993 — February 18, 2016
Alex Blane Stone, 22, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016. He lived in Mulvane most of his life and graduated from Mulvane High School in 2012. Alex worked at Wescon Controls as a machinist. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dale Smith and Wendell Stone. Alex is survived by his mother, Gale Stone; father, Randy Stone; brother, Zach Stone; grandmother, Linda Smith; and multiple aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins. Visitation: Wednesday, 1 to 8 pm with family present between 5 and 7 pm. Funeral: 2 pm, Thursday, February 25, 2016; both at Smith Family Mortuary, 501 E Louis Blvd, Mulvane, KS 67110. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Derby, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1820 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67214 or the ALS Association, 6950 Squibb Rd., Suite 210, Mission, KS 66202.
