Albert L. Woody

Albert Lloyd Woody, 84, born on April, 2 1940, Rose Hill, Kansas, passed away on June 21, 2024, in

Peoria, Illinois.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Nadine and Milton Woody, and his brother, John Woody. He is

survived by his sons: Mark Woody, Brian Woody, Michael Woody, and Greg Woody. He also leaves

behind 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Al was a dedicated Research Engineer at Caterpillar for fifty years. His life was marked by his passion for

his work, which he approached with dedication and creativity. Beyond his professional achievements, he

found joy in working outdoors and in cherished moments with his family.

Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday, July 11th, 2024, and funeral service is 10:00 am, Friday, July 12,

2024 at Smith Family Mortuary, 1415 North Rock Road, Derby, Kansas 67037. Interment to follow at

Richland Cemetery.

Al L. Woody will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of hard work,

kindness, and passion will forever inspire those whose had the pleasure to know him.
