Albert Dean Hicks

Hicks, Albert Dean, 65, born December 29, 1947, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 23, 2013, surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. He was married 39 years to his loving wife Ann. Albert loved his church family at West View Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman. He loved being with family and friends, and was a faithful husband and father. Albert was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Margie Hicks; brothers Robert and Richard Hicks, Jim and Bobby Dale Nottingham and sister Shirley. Survived by his wife Ann; son Ken (Dana) Hicks of Arkansas, sons Stacy, Demetri, Hunter Hicks of Wichita, daughter Tessa (Billy) Collins of Wichita, Jeffery and Sandra Hicks of Washington; brothers Jim (Sharon) Mann and Paris Leon Nottingham of Wichita, and nine grandchildren. Visitation 1-8 (family present 6-8) Tuesday at Culbertson Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca. Funeral service 10 a.m. Wednesday, at West View Baptist Church, 1325 S. Meridian. Graveside service to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, 1000 N. Hillside.
