Albert V. “Al” Brazill or “Bud” passed away July 9, 2013 at the age of 94 years. He was born on June 2, 1919 to Albert and Alice (Miller) Brazill. He was chief of construction management at McConnell AFB and served during WW II with the US Army, 35th Division, 137th Infantry, helping to liberate the town of Orleans, France. Preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Alberta “Pat”; brothers Hubert and Bill; and sisters Evelyn, Helen, Faye, and Millie. Survived by his sister Barbara of Wichita; sons Fred of Rose Hill and Stephen of Wichita; grandchildren Maria (Kristen), Michael (Irene) and Jon; great grandchildren Hannah, Ethan, Isaac and Ella. He enjoyed playing golf, hosting Tuesday night dinners, sitting on his porch on Sunnyside Road, and spending time with his family, friends and fellow WW II soldiers. Visitation 1-8 Friday, July 12; funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, both at Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Wichita Children’s Home or Good Shepherd Hospice.
