Ada Jewel Yeary

Ada Jewel Yeary, age 93, of Wichita, passed away on September 25, 2014. Born October 12, 1920 to Bert and Bessie Barrows in Medicine Lodge. She Married Everett Landon in 1936 and lived in Wichita. They had four children; Gary, Ted, Dennis and Janice. Ada later married Robert Yeary in 1964 and moved to Rogers, Arkansas, and spent many happy years doing what they enjoyed most, fishing. After Bob’s death, Ada moved back to Wichita to be near her family. Ada enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed visits with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Ada had a full life. We will miss her dearly and will keep her memory close to our hearts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Yeary; grandson, Johnny Gooch; daughter-in-law, Janet Landon; son-in-law, Tom McAdow; and a sister, Nadine Barrows Hunnell. Survivors include her sons, Gary Landon (Nancy), Wichita, Ted Landon (Lonnie), Ellsworth, and Dennis Landon (Gloria), Rose Hill; daughter, Janice McAdow, Fruitland, ID; brother, Roger Barrows (AlthaRae), Berryville, AR; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Rd, Derby, followed by inurnment at Branson Cemetery, Greenwich and 47th St. South.
