Obituary for William "Bill" Storey
William "Bill" Kim Storey died October 16, 2022.
He was born November 22, 1938 to Carl and Fern (Horton) Storey, and was the middle child of five.
He grew up in Mulvane, Kansas and graduated from Mulvane High School in 1956.
He is predeceased by his wife, Molly (Warne) Storey, whom he married on February 1, 1959. They were married 62 years.
He worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone for 33 years, retiring in 1993. He then operated his own telecommunications company, Storey Enterprises.
After his second retirement, he enjoyed relaxing, watching K-State sports, working with his horses and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include Children: Marlene (Chip) Mangus, Mark (Susan) Storey and Melinda Storey; Grandchildren: Kimberly (Nate) Chambers, Kiel (Danielle) Mangus, Collin (Corissa) Mangus, Will Storey; 8 great grandchildren; Nephew: Michael (Elizabeth) Warne and many other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Fern Storey; brothers: Vernon, Wayne, and Jack Storey; and sister: Carolyn Kloxin.
Visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday October 28, 2022 and Funeral Service 10:00 am, Saturday, October 29, 2022, both at Smith Mortuary, 501 SE Louis Blvd, Mulvane KS 67110. Interment to follow at Littleton Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Mulvane High School Alumni Fund for a scholarship fund.
