Derby - Henry, William Fred, 72, died Saturday, August 22, 2020. He graduated from Derby High School and Wichita State University. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran and served on the Enterprise. Fred retired as a financial planner after 22 ½ years with Boeing. Fred's hobbies were rebuilding GTOs from scratch, traveling with his wife and friends (Jim and Linda) on cruises and across the United States and going to his grandchildren’s sporting events. The loves of his life were his wife, children and grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, August 26, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Mortuary, Derby. To ensure the safety of everyone please wear a mask if you plan to attend visitation. Private Rosary 10:00 am with Funeral to follow at 10:30 at Smith Mortuary, Derby will be held. Graveside service will be 12:30 Thursday, August 27, 2020 at St Mary's Cemetery in Newton.

William is survived by his wife of 42 years, Alice Henry; two daughters, Angel Coopman (Paul) and Robyn Good (Chris); daughter from previous marriage, Crystal McZell; six grandchildren: Andrew Coopman, Austyn Coopman, Noah Coopman, Natallie Coopman, Hunter Thomas and Heather Thomas.; two siblings, Frank Henry(Sonia Good) and Jan Hively (Kenny).

A memorial has been established with the Cancer Center of Kansas. The family sends a special thank you to Dr. Reddy, Good Shepherd Hospice and Antoinette with Interim for their care and compassion toward Fred and his family.
