Tracy Ann Merriman passed peacefully in her sleep on February 1st.
Born in Wichita, she passed in Wichita after her second battle with cancer. In between, she also lived in Cherry Point, North Carolina, Haysville, and most recently, Rose Hill.
Preceding her in death are father William Robinson, mother Patricia Robinson, brothers Mark and Christopher. She is survived by her children Dustin Merriman and Kailey Merriman, stepmother Donna Robinson of Topeka, sister Camy Robinson of Tucson, and brother Drew Robinson (Jill) of Colorado Springs.
Besides raising two children, Tracy worked in a variety of careers during her life, from working as a hair stylist and in retail to moving company manager and caregiver. A somewhat prolific coin collector, Tracy also valued her faith and friends. As a middle child she was successful at both being pest and inspiration to her older sister and a lousy driving instructor for her younger brother, who adored her.
At Tracy's request, there will be no memorial service, and her ashes are to be spread in the mountains of Colorado. The next time you are having your favorite Mexican food or Mike and Kelly's barbecue, raise a glass and bid farewell to this kind, funny and loving woman.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to Harry Hynes Hospice Center in her name. They were a tremendous support and caregivers to Tracy in her final days.
