Obituary for Timothy John Beckham

Timothy J. Beckham, 77, was called home to our Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren surrounding him.

Timothy was born along with his twin brother, Thomas Beckham, to parents, Ralph Beckham and Beatrice (Gausman) Beckham, on November 30, 1945, in De Soto, Missouri. There, he was raised along with four brothers and one sister. Timothy married Joyce (Dillon) Beckham in 1964. He graduated from Kansas City College and Bible School in 1964. The couple moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where they went on to have four daughters. Timothy obtained a general contractors license in Arizona and became superintendent at Del Webb. In 1982, Timothy moved his family to Ava, Missouri and accepted the position as business manager at Mt. Zion Bible School, where his daughters attended. The family made their final move to Wichita, Kansas in 1987, where Timothy established T.J. Beckham Construction and built residential homes throughout the community until his retirement in 2008.

Timothy was dedicated to his faith and family. He was instrumental in launching Rose Hill Wesleyan Bible Chapel in Rose Hill, Kansas. He served the Lord as worship leader and board member for over ten years at the church. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing hymns, attending baseball games, and most of all, being with his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Beatrice Beckham; three brothers, Don Beckham, Kenneth (Butch) Beckham, and Thomas Beckham; and son-in-law, Aaron Reilender. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Beckham; four daughters, Annette Ross with husband Larry Ross, Diana Moncrief, Sheri Fleming with husband Tony Fleming, and Jodie White with husband J White; nine grandchildren, Lynnette Mattix with husband Cody Mattix, Natalie Crook with husband Matthias Crook; Brooke Aubuchon with husband Brandon Aubuchon; Casey Smith with husband Alex Smith, T.J. Fleming with wife Mandy Fleming, Jessica Moncrief, Julia Reilender, Jenna Reilender, and Elijah Reilender; eleven great-grandchildren, Brynn Smith, Molly Smith, Gabriel Smith, Asher Smith, Hannah Smith, Paxton Aubuchon, Lyla Fleming, Theo Crook, Nova Aubuchon, J.D. Fleming, and Henry Crook; one brother, Richard Beckham with wife Wanda Beckham; and one sister, Jeanette Moore with husband Irvin Moore.
