85, farmer and machinist, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020. He was born May 7, 1934 to Maynard and Marguerite Linot in Wichita, Kansas. Tom was an active community member; former member of, Rose Hill Lion's Club, Butler County Sheriff Reserve, Butler County Fire District #3, Rose Hill School Board as President, Special Education Board, Sedgwick County Rural Water District, Mulvane Coop. He was also a member ofRose Hill Historical Society and St. Mary Catholic Church in Derby. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maynard and Marguerite Linot; grandson, Matthew Linot; and brother, John Linot. Thomas is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janis Linot of Rose Hill; sons, Mike (Karen) Linot of Gibbon, NE, Melvin (LeeAnn) Linot of Rose Hill, Dean (Shannan) Linot of Douglass, Darrel (Elizabeth) Linot of Douglass, Craig (Rebecca) Linot of Rose Hill; daughters, Diane (Phil Wright) Linot of Rose Hill, and Marilyn (Charlie) Knight of Derby; grandchildren, Jeff (Wendy) Linot, Tim (Melissa) Linot, Kenneth (Shawnell) Linot, Rachel (Jake) Graham, Jeremy (Lena) Linot, Justin (Becky) Linot, Nick (Brittany) Linot, Kristy (Danny) Reid, Jill (Brandon) Walthers, Jamie (Jacob) Brazda, Tyler Knight, Collin Linot, and Cordelia Linot; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (JoAnn) Linot of El Dorado; sisters, Betty Roberts of Broken Arrow, OK, Margie Roberts of Douglass, and MaryAnn (Scott) Peters of Davis, OK. Private family graveside service will take place at Dunlap Cemetery. Memorial service will be held at a later date.
