Obituary for Stanley N. Stoll

Stanley Neil Stoll was born February 24, 1939 in Wichita, KS to Elizabeth (Harris) and Frank Stoll. He was the ninth of eleven children. In 1950, his parents moved to Mulvane with the 5 youngest children. The "home place" included 8 acres where the family raised animals and kept a truck garden; mostly tomatoes, corn, and black raspberries. Stanley remained on the farm and cared for his parents until their passing. He then moved to Quad Manor in Mulvane where he remained until just before his death.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 5 nieces. He is survived by 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 25 nieces and nephews, and more great nieces and nephews than we can count. He is remembered as the only uncle who would brave the old slide at the Mulvane City Park where he would spend more time with the kids than the grown-ups during family reunions each summer.

Stanley was employed through the years at a local lumber yard, Wolfe's Machine Shop, and Derby school district. He is known for his volunteer service in Mulvane for many of the community's organizations and churches. He frequently helped make and serve church dinners and participated in the Gleanings Food Pantry distribution. He frequented several of the local restaurants. Wherever you could find food, friends, or family, you would find Stanley.
