75, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023. She was born January 30, 1948 to Alma Pauline (Woods) and Ervin Lester Sharp in Hobart, Oklahoma.
Sherry graduated from Hobart High School in 1966 and attended Washington St. Baptist Church.
She married Eugene Michael Nemeth in 1966 and from this union has two daughters, Cynthia Michelle and Tina Lynn. On May 1, 1976 Sherry married Lee Shook until his passing in 2014.
Sherry was an avid bowler. She loved traveling with friends and cheering for her OU Sooners and KC Chiefs. Sherry was a dedicated grandmother, never missing her granddaughters volleyball and softball games.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Shook; Mother, Alma P. Woods; Father, Ervin L. Sharp; Sisters, Patricia Sharp, Nettie Cunningham; Brother, Carl Sharp; Grandson, Remington Fischer; Brothers-in-law, Bob Cunningham, Ron Payne; Nephew, Bobby Cunningham; Great-niece, Monique Smith.
Sherry is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Robert) Longacre and Tina Nemeth; grandchildren, Logan (Fiancé, Kate Kaufmann) Longacre, Jessica (David) Linkinhoker, Landry Longacre and Reagan (Riley) Thom; sisters, Betty Sharp of Hobart, OK and Judy Payne of Lone Wolf, OK; sisters-in-law, Rowena and Sharon; numerous nieces; 7 nephews; 20 great nieces and nephews; and 15 great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Family Mortuary 1415 North Rock Road Derby, Kansas 67037. Graveside Service: 10:00 am, Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Kechi Cemetery 6325 N Hillside Wichita, Kansas 67204.
A luncheon will be provided following the service.
