Obituary for Sharon Kay Paul

Maize - Paul, Sharon Kay
75, passed away Monday, October 3rd, 2022. She was born December 22nd, 1946 to Austin Moore and Virginia Webb Beaver in Hollywood, California. Sharon loved watching her family play sports from her daughters to her grandkids. She was a voracious reader of mysteries, making beautiful works of art in her quilts for her loved ones and enjoyed cooking. She would share her dishes with anyone in need. With the exception of family, her enthusiasm for her beloved Kansas City Royals eclipsed all. "She tried for years and years but dad undermined her every chance he got" (IYKYK).

She was preceded in death by her her parents, her husband of 44 years, Donald Paul; sisters, Sherry Moore and Karen Middlekauf; and brother, Randy Beaver.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Beckie Savage (Steve), Diana Shaffer (Brad), Lara Wolgast (Eric); grandchildren, Evan Savage, Caitlin Burgess (Anthony), Hayley Swan (Richard), Tyler Shaffer (Alexandria), Sydney Wolgast, Taylor Wolgast; great-grandson, Braden Swan.

Visitation: Monday, October 10, from 10 am to 11 am at Culbertson Smith Mortuary, 115 S. Seneca, Wichita, Kansas. 67213. Celebration of Life: 11:00 am, Monday, October 10th, 2022 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary. Interment to follow at Maize Park Cemetery, Maize, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Maslow's Pantry, care of Dr. Chris Botts, 11600 W. 45th St. North, Maize, Kansas 67101.
