Obituary for Roseann M. Bade

Roseann Marcella Bade, 88, went to her eternal rest with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on February 12, 2023.

Roseann was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 18, 1934, the eldest of three children born to Alex Manczuk and Anna (Washick) Manczuk. She married the love of her life, Richard, on September 14, 1953, and that union was blessed with six children.

Richard preceded her in death in 2019. She was also preceded in death by an infant son Christopher, and a brother Carl. Roseann is survived by her sister Trudy (Bob) Pike of Kansas City; sons Ed (Barb) Bade of Cheney, Jim (Susie) Bade of Fairway; daughters Sandy (Jim) Williams of Derby, Connie Tucker of Haysville, and Allison (Dave) Lesley of Derby; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Roseann’s life was rooted in her faith and her family. She had a love of all things domestic and was happiest when family and friends were around. She lived a life of service to her church and family and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be 4-7pm Wednesday, February 15, at Smith Mortuary in Derby. The Recitation of the Rosary will begin 10:00 am Thursday, February 16, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Derby. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church Building Fund.
