Ronald Dean Dick, age 79, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019. Ron is preceded in death by his parents Jacob Glenn and Velma Jane; and brother Byron Lee. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Anita; daughters, Carol Ralls, Alisha Sylvester, Belinda Dick; grandchildren, Lanee Graham, Ashley Dysarz, Averi Sylvester; great-grandsons Oliver “Wendall” Reed Dysarz, Jaxon Marcus Graham; and brothers Roger and Larry. Ron graduated with his degree in pharmacy from the University of Kansas and an advanced degree from the University of Southern California. He retired from the Veterans Administration in 1994 after almost 30 years of service as a Chief Pharmacist. He then fulfilled his dream of returning to Kansas and owning 160 acres of pasture land. His true joy was taking friends and family to Disney World to meet his special friend Mickey M. He always took the “scenic” route when he would drive anywhere (meaning the long way). His lively sense of humor made him interesting to listen to. He joked that he wanted his obituary to say that he was the greatest man who ever lived, and to his family that is quite true!
