Raymond J. Burger was born on September 27, 1931 on a farm near South Haven, Kansas and left this life on February 11, 2022 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 90. He was the son of Alfred and Velma Burger, who preceeded him in death.

Ray graduated from South Haven High School. After graduation he attended Wichita Business College and upon graduating, he went to work for the Santa Fe Railroad, where he remained until he retired on July 31, 1989 completing 38 years with the Santa Fe Railroad. He served in the US Army from November 21, 1952 until November 22, 1954.

Ray is survived by Sisters Donna Mohney Arlene Johnson and Marva Reeves. Ray was preceded in death by sister Patsy Scott and brother Duane Burger.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 17th, from 5 to 7pm at Smith Family Mortuary and Funeral Service will be held on Friday February 18th at 10:00 am also at Smith Family Mortuary Derby. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at the Goodel Cemetery in Drury, Kansas.
