Obituary for Pauline Rittlinger

Rittlinger, Pauline Marie, 80 of Wichita, KS passed away Friday, Dec 30th 2022. Known to many as Polly, born on
Jan 31st 1942, in Bangor, Maine, to Peter Burgess and June (Sanborn) Burgess.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Myron, brothers, Albert and Harold Burgess, sisters, Jeanette
Williams, and Patricia Melvin. Survived by her husband, Richard; son, O'Brien (Mary) Rittlinger, daughter, Valarie
(Pervez) Setna; grandchildren, Patricia, Courtney, Mattingly, Isabelle, Andrew, Adam, Allison; niece, Sheryll (Dan)
Small; nephews, Robert (Patricia) Furlong; Stephen (Rena) Burgess, Wayne (Betty) Bagen, Rodney (Mari Tess)
Bagen, Brent (Barbara) Burgess, Jay Star Williams; sister-in-laws, Lee Rondeau and family, Noreen (Chuck)
Morgan and family; brother-in-law Brian Rittlinger and family and numerous other loved family members.

Pauline had a love of family, dice and card games (which she often won) and the New York Yankees. Pauline spent
lots of time volunteering, especially at Blessed Sacrament Church. Pauline opened her heart to everyone and was
“mom” to many. She was a “tell it like it is person” and was never afraid to speak her mind. Pauline was a gift to
everyone who was lucky enough to know her.

Rosary is 7:00 pm Wednesday, January 4th and Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am, Thursday, January 5th,
2023, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N. Roosevelt St. Wichita, Kansas 67208.  Interment to
follow at Dunlap Cemetery.
