Obituary for Patsy Darlene Foster (Toon)

Wichita - Patsy Darlene Foster, 77, born in Moline, Kansas, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023. A beloved mother to her two sons, Jim (Jennifer) Foster and Michael (Pat) Foster both of Wichita. She started her military career in the Naval Reserves and then transferred to the Air Force Reserves, serving in Desert Storm after which she joined and ultimately retired from the Air National Guard. She loved to travel and was not afraid to try new experiences, from getting a private pilots license including aerobatic training to zip-lining through the trees at 72 years of age. She was always looking for the next adventure and was trying to talk the family into joining her bungee jumping and jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. After she retired, she said she didn’t know how she had time to work because she stayed so busy, but she always found time for her family and made sure that they never did without. She always accepted anyone to family occasions making them feel like a part of the family. In addition to her sons, she is survived by her Grandchildren, Michelle Foster, James (Kiley) Foster, Steven Foster and Heather (Anthony) Capobianco. Graveside Memorial Service, with military honors will be held at Kansas Veteran's Cemetery-Winfield,11:00am Friday February 17, 2023. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers to: Wounded Warrior Project.
