Obituary for Patricia LaMoyne Urmey
Patricia LaMoyne (Sharpe) Urmey, 89, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born August 31, 1932, in Lyons, Kansas. Patricia was a registered nurse and worked at Asbury and St. John’s Hospital in Salina Kansas, as well as Wesley Medical Center in Wichita Kansas. She enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines, her family, trips to the casino and animals. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Belva Sharpe, her brother Graydon Sharpe and her husband Donald L. Urmey. Survived by children Greg (Beverly) Urmey, Donna (Chris) Sand, Brenda (Ron) Thole, and Alice (Sam) Wike, 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Vince Nelson, one niece and five nephews.
Visitation 11am - 1pm Monday, February 21, at Smith Mortuary in Derby. Graveside services will follow at 2pm Monday, at El Paso Cemetery in Derby. Memorials have been established with the KS Humane Society, and with Rivercross Hospice.
