Obituary for Michael Alan Mobley
Mobley, Michael Alan, (Mike) 58; beloved husband, father and son, went to Heaven to be with his eldest son and see the face of God last Thursday, February 2, 2023.
Mike spent the majority of his adult life working in the field of outdoor utility construction. Mike most enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved music, sports, hunting, fishing, noodling, camping and driving old country roads. His loyal canine companion, Tender, was always at his side.
Mike was preceded in death by his eldest son, Preston Mobley, who died tragically in 2015. Mike never recovered from the shock or pain associated with his son’s death.
After battling years of grief, two strokes, two spinal surgeries and cancer, the pain finally became too overwhelming and the cancer too fast spreading. Now, we can rest knowing that Michael is no longer in pain. His heart no longer longs for Preston and his body no longer aches.
Mike is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carol (Allen) Mobley; and his son, Pierce Mobley of San Antonio, TX. He his also survived by his parents, Charles and Connie Mobley of Wichita, KS; three siblings including brother, Jim Mobley (Becky) of Monument, CO and sister, Angela Mobley of Wichita, KS; Brother-in-law Clif Allen (Paula) of Dallas, TX; Sister-in-law Lisa Mauck (Cuy). Mike also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
