Melvin Siemens, 90, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020. He was born November 19, 1929 to Henry R and Martha (Ratzlaff) Siemens in Buhler, KS.
Melvin enjoyed playing basketball at Buhler High School on the team who became the 1947 State Basketball Champions. The team was inducted in the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2006. Basketball, volleyball and tennis remained fun activities in his adult years.

After dairy and crop farming many years, Melvin "retired" to do over-the-road trucking. In 2012 the farm was sold and they moved to Wichita. He was living at Wichita Presbyterian Manor at the time of his death.
