Obituary for Matthew Scott Schnier
Matthew S. Schnier, age 34, passed away on Saturday March 20th 2021.
Visitation will be at 9 am on Friday March 26th at Smith Family Mortuary in Derby KS. The service will be held there as well at 10 am. Graveside will be at the new cemetery in Belle Plaine, KS. Please dress in Kansas City Chiefs attire instead of black, this was his favorite football team.
Matthew is survived by his wife Ashley; children Jayden, Landon, and Cooper (step-son); Parents Richard Schnier and Sandy McCray (Benny); Brothers Nathan Schnier and Mason McCray; Sisters Melissa Montgomery, Ashley Tallant, and Madison McCray; and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Matt was the most sociable person you could know, willing to do anything for anyone who needed help, and always had a smile on his face. He was the most amazing dad and step dad to our kids, he treated Cooper like his own from the day they met. He was the best husband, always going out of his way to show his wife just how much he loved her. He touched so many people in his short 34 years with us and will be greatly missed by all of them.
