Obituary for Mary V. Wells

Wells, Mary Virginia
96, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was born June 6, 1926 to Wilbert and Jennie Borin in Poteau, Oklahoma.

Mary was a master gardener; growing prize winning tomatoes, onion, okra, green beans, peppers, potatoes, and cotton. She could be found working in her garden from sunrise to sunset. Mary shared her vegetables with her family, neighbors, church and even strangers passing by her house. Her gardening was a true labor of love. She crocheted her entire life, sharing her creations with everyone she knew. Her "Grace Assembly Church" was the highlight of her daily life; if the church doors were open she was there. Walking to and/or "illegally driving" the two half blocks to get there. Throughout all of her children's grade school years, if the weather was cold, Mary would meet each of her children at the end of the driveway with a warm blanket.

For her generation, Mary was the last of the Borin's and the last of the Wells'. She was preceded in death by her treasured and dearly loved husband of 42 years, Raymond Wells; her beautiful baby granddaughter, Casey Rae Veatch; great-great grandbaby, Evelynn Query; her parents, Wilbert and Jennie Borin; four brothers, Oscar, Walter, Ford and William Borin, and their wives; all eight Wells sisters-in-law; and all eight Wells brothers-in-law.

Mary is survived by her six children, Raymond Lee Wells, his wife, Wylene, Ginny Wohlgemuth, her husband, Dale, Alice Thiessen, her husband, Harvey, Mickey Wells, his wife, Pauletta, Anita Wells, Wayne Wells and his wife, Terri; 12 grandchildren, Krystal (Darin) Dredge, Brandee Stilwell, Shelly (Brad) Query, Kelly Reeves, Carey (Jason) Gough, Clay Wells, Jason (Jamie) Wohlgemuth, and Sonja Wohlgemuth; 22 great-grandchildren, Logan, Talyr, Braden and Austin Querry, Darren and Hayley Reeves, Ashton and Oliver Gough, Dylan Dredge, Tristan (Kelsea), Aubrey (Hunter), Elizabeth, Trey, Kinzie, Brenna, Evan, Ainsley, Zane, Easton and Grayson Wohlgemuth, Karston and Ray Palmer; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Lawsyn and Alexzander Querry, Kashton and Brooklyn Myers, Hunter and Gianna Beltz, and Eliott Wohlgemuth.

Mary will forever be remembered and never ever forgotten. You are loved beyond the moon and back a million times.
