Obituary for Marilyn L. Ward

Ward, Marilyn W., was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas on April 8th, 1954 to Jacquelyn Ward. God called her home to live with him on November 7, 2022. Marilyn was placed for adoption early in life, but due to her disabilities, she became a ward of the state. Ruth Miller became her guardian in 1996 and when Ruth could no longer fulfill her duties, her daughter Nedra Miller became her guardian. Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lorance/Gianomella; grandfather Z.D Ward; aunts, Gladys, Stlla, Jessie, Ethel; uncles, Dewey, Presley and grandparents, Tomas and Celestine Lorance. Marilyn loved to listen to music, mostly old school rock songs or old school Rhythm and Blues. She also liked stuffed animals. Her 2 favorite ones were a dog that she had for many years and more recently a Winnie The Pooh that Nedra (her guardian) gave to her. She also liked being in the presence of the other residents of her household. One of her favorite things to do was eat. And while she was not verbal, she would say "Eat The Beans" to let you know that she was hungry. Marilyn is survived by her sister, Merinda Anthony of Kansas City, MO; sister, Jennifer Bell of Texas; brother, Danny Bell of Texas; brother, Eddie Ward of Wichita, KS and many nieces and nephews. To truly know Marilyn was to love Marilyn. She will be missed. There will be no funeral services.
