Obituary for Juanita Binford

Wichita - Binford, Mable Juanita
95, peacefully gained her glorious wings on Saturday, December 9th, 2023. She was born June 17th, 1928 to J. Otto Briscoe and Mable Janzen Briscoe in West Plains, Missouri.

Juanita graduated from North High School in 1946. She began working at Bond Bakery, then Steffen's Dairy and finally at Midwest Plastics. While at Steffen's, she met Verne Binford, the love of her life. They married November 7, 1948 and began their family. As you can imagine, these five girls had a great number of friends in and out of the house over the years. Juanita did everything to entertain her daughters, their friends and in later years, her grandchildren. Her interests include quilting, playing cards and dominoes, baking bread, reading, her weekly phone calls with her siblings, watching the school children from the comfort of her recliner, and simply enjoying time with her many friends. Juanita was faithful to the Lord. She was a member of the University Friends Church for most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 49 years, Verne Binford; her in-laws, Arthur and Esther Binford, Cal Pleasant, Doris and Les Pohlenz; and by nephew, Jim Briscoe.

Juanita is survived by her five daughters, Dee Fisher, Sharon Binford, Karen Binford, Diane Binford, Marlene Sanders (Tom); grandchildren, Shelly Fisher (Michael Fitzgerald), Lance Shurtz (Abby), Regina Binford, Ryan Marquette (fiance Kylie), Sara Marquette, Britnie Binford, Savannah Sterbens (Scott) and Mackenzie Poirier (Kyle); 10 great-grandchildren, siblings, Virginia Pleasant of Everett, Washington, and Jim Briscoe (Loretta) of Clairton, PA; and by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
