Obituary for Lucille Lucini

Lucille Ann Lucini (Turner), 70, of Wichita, KS passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on June 1, 1953, in Okmulgee, OK, to parents Harvey Turner and Ann Turner (Carlson). Lucille was the first of four siblings; Melissa Gasper (Turner), Matt Turner, and John Turner. Lucille was married to Greg Lucini.

Lucille’s favorite activity was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her children Tracie Paschall, Kathy and Tim Woelk, and Ross and Leslie Deerinwater; and her grandchildren Mary Woelk, Emry and Dalton Langham, and Avery and Courtney Woelk were the central focus of her life. Affectionately called “Granny Lu,” she spent every major weekend and holiday with her family, creating loving memories that will last forever. She loved them all very much, and she will forever hold a special place in their hearts as the sweetest, kindest, and purest soul they’ve ever known.

Lucille led a beautiful life. She spent the majority of her time pouring faith, grace, and hope into others; that was her main interest and pursuit. A caretaker to many, Lucille was a gold-tier seamstress and had a resourcefulness for home care and cooking that would put Martha Stewart to shame. Her many skills could never overshadow how she made people feel. She had an innocence that came through anytime she spoke, and when she did, people listened.

A loyal woman of God, she spent nearly every Sunday for over 40 years with her community in praise, worship and service to Jesus Christ at First Pentecostal Church.

A service will be held on Saturday, June 24, at 10am at First Pentecostal Church in Wichita, KS. A memorial has been established with the church.
