Obituary for Lola Beth (Nickel) Ellis

89, entered the kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021.

Lola was born April 6th, 1931 in Hillsboro, Kansas, to Herman R. Nickel and Elizabeth (Funk) Nickel. She married James E. Ellis on May 3, 1957. She worked as a Counter Ticket Agent for Braniff International Airways for 26 years. During her career she also worked for Air Midwest and Chromatech Corp. Throughout her life, she loved sewing, quilting and caring for her cats. Her hobbies included weekend outings, traveling, sight seeing, and visiting national parks and points of interest. She also loved taking paths untraveled and watching trains.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Effie Lou (Charles) Edwards. Lola is survived by her husband of 63 years, James E. Ellis; children, David (Susan) Ellis, Penne (John) Eaglin; granddaughter, Amanda (Josh) Lesser; sister, Annalee (Bill) Ewert; a niece and numerous nephews.

Memorial Service: 10 AM, Saturday, February 27th at True Life Church, 4400 S Hoover Rd, Wichita, KS 67215.
