Obituary for Linda Kauffman
Derby - Linda Louise Kauffman 75, died Friday, October 6th, 2023. She was born January 26th, 1948 to Claude and Carolyn (Dempewolf) Peterson in Topeka, Kansas.
At the age 4 Linda and her family moved to Wichita. She attended Catholic schools until Junior High and graduated from Southeast High School in 1967. She met Mike Kauffman in 1966 and they were married Dec.18, 1967. After her marriage while waiting for her husband to return home from Viet Nam she had worked for a bank in downtown Wichita. In 1981 she started working for UPS and work there for many years. In 1983 they moved to Rose Hill where they had purchased 14 acres of land and built a house and developed the land raising various animals. In 1993 they moved to Derby and she remained in Derby until her death.
She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit many places with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Mike Kauffman and sister in law Glenda Peterson,
Linda is survived by her son: Nathan (Karen) Kauffman, Grandchildren Skyler and Kyle Kauffman Brothers Larry Peterson and Kenneth (Judy) Peterson and sister Chris (Jim) Williams.
Memorial Service: 2:30 pm, Thursday, October 26th, 2023 at Smith Family Mortuary Chapel 1415 N. Rock Rd. Derby, Kansas 67037.
