Newton - Orr, Katherine Lucille
97, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born November 13, 1924 to Edward and Belle Walsh in Wheaton, Kansas.

Kay was an avid book reader. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and genealogy. Kay never lost her ambition for education and learning new trades. She was known for her dry sense of humor and love for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lee Orr; parents; siblings, Ina Sandefur, Ray Walsh, George Walsh, Frank Walsh, Maxine Brady.

Katherine is survived by her sons, Preston (Neva) Orr and Clinton (Michelle) Orr; grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Orr, Nathan Robert Orr; step-grandchildren, Amy Morts, Maeghen Law; great-grandchild, Brooklinn Kay Orr; step-great-grandchild, Kai Tosses; sister, Mary Barker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Smith Mortuary - Haysville 7031 S. Broadway Haysville, Kansas 67060. Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 19th, 2022 at Smith Mortuary - Haysville 7031 S. Broadway Haysville, Kansas 67060. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
