Obituary for Jeffrey D. Moore
Jeffrey David Moore passed away Nov. 25, 2022. He was born Sept, 19, 1954.
Services will be held Thursday Dec. 1, 2022. Family will attend a viewing from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at Smith Family Mortuaries, 1415 N Rockwood Rd, Derby, KS, The funeral services will follow at 10:30 am.
Jeff was born in El Reno, OK and attended elementary schools in different cities of Oklahoma due to his fathers employment. The family moved to Medicine Lodge where he graduated from High school in 1973. Jeff received his Ph.D. from the Wichita State University in 1988; B.A. and B.S. degrees were received from Fort Hays State University in 1977 and 1978 respectively. Jeff was proud to spend over 38 years with the Wichita Ear Clinic family as Director of Audiology.
Jeff will be remembered for his Kind heart and generous nature, and will be missed by all who were lucky enough to be called his family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his spouse Philip R Rivers-Moore of Wichita, KS, sister Ann Swinson (Randy) of Shawnee, OK, and daughter Tracy Guffey (Chad) of Clinton, MO. He had 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, he is also survived by his sister in laws Lynn Moore of Seminole, OK, and Annette Haga, of Wichita, KS. and numerable nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Beverly Jo Moore, brothers, Mike Moore, and Chris Moore.
