Obituary for Harold L. Smith

Harold L.  Smith
Harold L. Smith, 87, died in Mulvane, Kansas, July 21, 2017. Harold was raised on the family farm outside of Atlanta, Kansas, where he attended school. Following high school, he served 3 years in the Army Air Corps, where he received training later used as a Machinist at Boeing Wichita for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; and parents Marion and Dolores Smith. Survived by daughters Debbie (John) Good and Diana (Randy) Hill; son Larry (Becky) Smith; grandchildren, Shawna (Derek) Longsine, Shelley (Nathan) Eckert, Shane (Michelle) Plummer, Amy (Shane) LaRue, and Bradley (Amanda) Smith; 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation 5-7 p.m. (family present 6-7 p.m.), Wednesday, July 26, at Smith Mortuary, 501 S.E. Louis Blvd., Mulvane. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at Mulvane United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Atlanta Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Memorials have been established with American Legion Post 136 (and Auxiliary), 410 S.E. Louis Dr.; and Mulvane United Methodist Church, 107 S. Central, Mulvane, KS 67110.
