Wichita - Bessey, Floydeane “Deanie”

89, retired Dental Office Receptionist, passed away Monday, November 14th, 2022. She was born January 3rd, 1933 to Floyd Brandon and Marie (Theilen) Brandon in Perry, Oklahoma. Deanie grew up in the Derby area, graduating from Derby High School in 1951. She was an avid reader, excellent singer, enjoyed gardening, and loved to cook for and spend time with family.

Memorial Service: 10:00 am, Thursday, December 15th, 2022 at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary 115 South Seneca Wichita, Kansas 67213. Interment to follow at El Paso Cemetery, Derby, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, all 7 of her siblings, and her husband, Charles Everett Bessey, Jr. She is survived by her sons Bruce (Mary) Bessey of Derby, Bryan (Vicki) Bessey of Wichita, Brent Bessey of Georgia, and Drew (Susan) Bessey of Wichita; 7 grandchildren - Cathy (Dave) Race of Nebraska, Jason (Lauren) Bessey of Leawood, KS, Alicia (Rob) Medford of Virginia, Blake (Dan Gutmann) Bessey of Iowa, Heath (Tina) Bessey of Derby, Cory Richardson (Cynthia) of Georgia, and Kyle Bessey of Georgia; 16 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Karin Brandon of Park City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
