Because Will’s Dad was career military, he attended schools in Iowa and Louisiana before moving to Oklahoma and graduating from East Central High School in Tulsa. While in school, Will always worked. He started out delivering newspapers and worked at a variety of fast food establishments, his favorite being Shakey’s Pizza Parlor in Tulsa.

Will always treated people with dignity and respect. He was described by his family as being humble, genuinely kind and loving. Never boisterous or seeking attention. He loved his Heavenly Father and will be remembered as a kind, humble man, who strived to live his life as a Christian. He loved raising his boys and how proud he was of Mindy. Being a father to the three of them brought immense joy and pride.

Will loved fishing, for him a bad day fishing was better than a good day at work. After retirement, he spent many hours with his buddy Larry fishing. He also loved to build and had his own woodworking shop at his home. His last project was to build a wooden saddle rack for his granddaughter Rio. He told me he and Jesus were both carpenters. He also liked playing golf, he said he wasn’t very good, but liked the fellowship of the Spirit Facilities Men’s golf league.
Will was a veteran of the US Navy, he served our country from October 12, 1976 to January 23, 1982. He was especially proud of his son’s Zach’s service as well, a combat soldier doing a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Only after Zach came home did we find out he prayed every single night for his safe return and his prayers were answered.
Will loved the Lord. His personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the reason I am at peace in my heart knowing that he is home with the Lord.
I can’t help but think that a few short nights ago, in the early evening hour, Will Molhoek was received into heaven and God took his hand and said, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
