Obituary for Dorotha Faye Tracy

Dorotha Faye Tracy — loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away in Wichita, Kansas on Wednesday morning, March 16, 2022. She was 86 years old.
She was born on January 27, 1936, in Bristow, Oklahoma but grew up in Wichita, graduating from Wichita West High School. She received her Nursing Degree from Butler Community College in 1989 and became a Registered Nurse. Working at Via Christi St. Francis and Wesley Medical Center, Dorotha’s dedicated R.N. career spanned over thirty years, working in areas ranging from Oncology to Cardiovascular Care to General Nursing. After her retirement from nursing, she worked part-time for Royale Caribbean for 10 years. Her family remembers her as not only a loving mother and grandmother, but also a talented quilter, crocheter, and seamstress.

Dorotha is preceded in death by her three brothers, Clifford Luce (Pat, deceased) Clayton Luce (Judy, living), and Charles Luce, Jr.
She is survived by her sisters, Juanita (Jim) Burger, Alice Graff and Bonnie Mason, her brother John Luce (Velda), her children, Shirley Brundage, Sharon Keys, David Tracy (Pam) and Robert Tracy (Suzie) as well as her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Westview Baptist Church, 1325 S. Meridian, Wichita, Kansas. She will be placed in Greenwood Cemetery’s Columbarium.
