Obituary for Denise J. Garcia
It is with our deep sorrow that Denise J Garcia, 64, of Derby, KS, passed away on November 30th 2020 in Wichita, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Melvin and Clara Bellerive) and in-laws (John and Edyth Garcia).
Denise Garcia (Bellerive) was born in Salina, Kansas to Melvin and Clara Bellerive on January 10th 1956. Denise went to school at Sacred Heart High School in Salina, KS. She married Gary S Garcia on April 24th, 1976. Denise was a store manager in Salina, Kansas for Wonder Bread and was a teaching assistant for many years at Bartlett Elementary. During her lifetime, she enjoyed many things. Decorating her house for the different seasons, gardening, playing board games, working on home crafts, visiting the Parade of Homes, reading books and KU basketball. She also enjoyed going to antique shows and craft fairs. She was just a fun loving person. She will be dearly missed.
Denise Garcia is survived by husband: Gary Garcia, children: Melanie (Tyler)and Jeremy, siblings: Iris (Dick), Mike (Stephanie), Sharon, Charlene (Ed), Brian (Teresa) and Janelle (Sean).

Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday, December 10th, 2020 at Smith Family Mortuary in Derby, KS. Her burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery.
