Derby – Cynthia Rene Smith 62, died, Thursday, June 10, 2021. She was born August 12, 1958 to Marquis and Leslie Jones in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
Cynthia was a traditional Christian, southern woman whom loved her family, friends, and students. She was fun, loving, and
adventurous. She saw the potential in all of us and in turn expected us to achieve our perceived potential. She was an ornery but loving sister, wonderful spouse, an amazing mother, a kickass Mimi, and the most supportive friend you would ever come across.
Cynthia was an adjunct college professor, who tutored fundamental learning students. She absolutely loved teaching the awesome students. Her hobbies included writing, reading, spending time with family, teaching, and impacting the lives of others. Other hobbies of Cynthia included fostering, whether it be kittens or people, she failed to let them go, she kept them all.
She was preceded in death by, Vivian Jones, Marquis Jones S.R., and Vinny Venturella.
