Obituary for Cynthia M. Lively

Cynthia “Cyndie” M. (Karmon) Lively, 51, was unexpectedly taken from us on September 4th, 2023 in Derby, Kansas.

Cyndie was born on October 24, 1971 to Robert and June (McGrath) Karmon, in Naples, Italy, and lived in Rhode Island before settling in Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and by her brother, Robert Karmon II.

Survivors include her sister, Kris Karmon of Danielson, CT; sister-in-law, Anne Karmon, of East Providence, RI; nieces, Heather Karmon, Jennifer (Auz) Fruci, Sarrah Berkery, Marjorie Berkery, and Megan Berkery; nephews, John (Sara) Stevens, David (Samantha) Bryan, Joshua Karmon, Michael Berkery; five great-nieces and nephews; her step son, from a previous marriage, Kelly Fisher Jr., along with many cousins, extended family and friends.

Cyndie was a fun-loving, genuine soul who lived by the words “dance like no one is watching.” She had an ability to lighten the mood in any situation. Her pride and joy was her four fur babies, and loved to bring her pups with her on long hauls throughout her career as a truck driver.

Cyndie enjoyed several years as a seasonal camper where she formed many lasting friendships. She could find the joy in either a night at home coloring or a night sitting at the slot machines hoping for a big win. Her unwavering dependability and love for her family is how she will always be remembered.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, September 29, 2023 at St. Rita’s Church, 722 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick, RI.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Judes Children’s Hospital, a cause that was close to her heart.
