Obituary for Clarence "Corkey" Cash

Clarence "Corkey" Cash was born July 27th, 1944 in Joplin, MO. After a courageous five year battle with lung cancer and COPD he died at home on January 25th, 2020. At the time of death he was surrounded by his loving wife of 50 years, Shirley, and his children Terri Blaylock (Brian), Curtis Cash (Sara) and Sherri Mundy (Matthew).

Besides his family he also loved fast cars, hi-powered fire arms and fishing. Of course his girls, Sadie & Sara (dogs), were just as important to him.

In addition to his wife and children, Corkey is survived by eight grand children with his first great grand child on the way. He also leaves behind a huge family of siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins plus an enormous network of friends who will all greatly miss his quick wit and gift of gab.

Viewing will be held Monday Jan. 27th from 2 to 8pm, with family present from 6 to 8pm at Smith Mortuary in Derby, KS. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday Jan, 28th, 2020 at 10am also at Smith Mortuary with Graveside services at Douglass Cemetery. A celebration of life with the family following the interment to be held at the Damascus Road Church in Derby, KS. All are welcome to attend.
